Role

Approach

  • Built and maintained relationships with approximately 1,000 employers across a multi-county region

  • Facilitated collaboration between employers, education partners, workforce stakeholders, and economic development organizations

  • Supported employer-facing workforce programs aligned with hiring, training, and retention needs

  • Contributed to Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) efforts in coordination with regional and state economic development partners

  • Career Discovery Guide: Supported development of a regional career exploration tool used across multiple counties to strengthen career readiness and employer engagement

Do-It-Yourself Lowell is a grassroots nonprofit focused on civic engagement and community-led initiatives.

Role
Executive Director responsible for organizational strategy, program development, and community engagement.

Chief Executive Officer, with previous roles in operations, marketing, and program development.

  • Designed and produced recurring festivals and events centered on small businesses, artisans, and local entrepreneurs

  • Built and maintained cross-sector partnerships to support participation and growth opportunities

  • Facilitated vendor engagement and coordinated event logistics across multiple stakeholders

  • Produced events ranging from 200 to 2,000+ attendees, including multi-day festivals

  • Supported participation of 15 to 200 local and regional vendors per event, including startups, small businesses, nonprofits, and artisans

  • Expanded visibility and market access for small businesses and emerging entrepreneurs

  • Contributed to downtown activation and local economic development through placemaking initiatives
